Conflict Resolution and Peace-building – Restoring Trust, Rebuilding Futures in Karamoja
For generations, the Karamoja sub-region has faced recurring cycles of conflict—often fueled by competition over scarce resources like water and pasture, cross-border livestock raids, and deep-seated cultural divisions. These disputes not only claim lives but also hinder education, disrupt livelihoods, and trap communities in poverty. KAPDA’s Conflict Resolution and Peace-building programme is breaking this cycle by bringing communities together to address the root causes of conflict and create pathways to lasting peace.
